The Arkansas Electric Cooperative Corporation (AECC) is a generation and transmission cooperative headquartered in Little Rock, Arkansas. AECC, founded in 1949 is the wholesale power supplier for 17 electric distribution cooperatives in Arkansas. These member cooperatives serve about 500,000 people in Arkansas and surrounding states by providing them with reliable and affordable electricity to power their homes, businesses and farms. We are member-owned and democratically controlled businesses with service areas that cover more than 60 percent of Arkansas' land area. AECC offers a competitive benefits and compensation package. The Arkansas Electric Cooperatives, Inc. (AECI) is a diversified cooperative providing services, which include construction, right-of-way maintenance, electrical equipment sales and repair, Arkansas Living Magazine, high voltage equipment testing, governmental affairs, safety and loss control, and communications to its 17 member distribution cooperatives (the “members”) and other utilities. AECI also operates vendor-managed warehouses for distribution cooperatives and sells equipment to utilities in surrounding states, including Louisiana, Mississippi, Missouri & Oklahoma.
